OFFICIAL CERTIFIED TRANSLATORS IN SPAIN

Expert and guaranteed translation services

Legal and financial translations are specific-purpose services calling for the involvement of specialised professionals . Their production entail a series of highly complex intellectual operations due to the variety of factors that must be taken into account: concepts, languages, different cultural and legal frameworks, metalinguistic and extralinguistic awareness, etc.

Therefore, a specialised translator must not only have full command of the syntagmatic and paradigmatic structures of both languages, but further, he must have the specific resources and knowledge that enable him to decrypt the meaning of text and speech in his fields of expertise: terminology tools, large active and passive lexical knowledge, command of the relevant legal and socioeconomic contexts, reference documentation and ad hoc information pertaining to each specific text (purpose, circumstantial details, addressee).

This subsection describes the different types of translation services provided by Exhibit as well as the production stages which combined with the management and contractual terms and procedures laid down in the Restricted Access Area for Clients make up the Project Cycle ensuring our Clients the highest professional quality assurance and effectiveness.

According to their legal effects, you may require sworn translation or plain translation services.

According to their nature and the required professional treatment,
a difference must be made between pure translation services, modification services and revision services.

Finally, mention should here be made to our Clients on the crucial importance of the agreed turnaround time for each translation service in terms of quality and cost. Thus, Exhibit's clients are advised to plan, anticipate and ensure, whenever possible, that available turnaround times are reasonable enough to enable us to work under standard deadline conditions that allow, at one and the same time, for the delivery of full quality assurance and maximum cost-efficiency.

Our Clients must envisage the engagement of our services under urgency schemes as a last-ditch option entailing a substantial increase of costs and, occasionally, a negative impact on the quality of the resulting products.

Should we believe minimum quality standards may be jeopardised by the turnaround time available to our Clients, Exhibit may decline to accept the assignment unless our Client expressly states in his Service Proposal that only a draft plain translation is needed. The resulting document delivered by Exhibit shall also bear a reference to this particular condition indicating that the turnaround time awarded by the Client prevented the thorough implementation of standard quality control proceedings.

Exhibit strictly applies best international practice to quality control in respect of translation projects. Accordingly, the Production Process followed in any plain or sworn translation project is made up of the six succesive stages described below:

PROJECT CYCLE

1st - Preliminary tasks: under the responsibility of the Project Manager, preparatory tasks include the following: research and compilation of supporting documentation; selection and allocation of professional resources; and project registration in the control & management system.
2nd - First draft production: must be completed by the Translator or Team of Translators assigned to the project in compliance with the guidelines set forth by the Project Manager and includes the use of the relevant supporting and reference materials and self-revision work.
3rd- Revision: the first draft translation shall be revised by the project's Reviser, typically a peer translator for the relevant language pair specialised in the project's subject matter whose mission is to check the draft translation against the original, and modify it, when necessary, in order to ensure its accuracy, internal consistency and integrity or enhance its quality.
4th- Edition: the Editor's mission is to carry out a conscientious proofreading of the revised translation and the identification and correction of any formal flaw (sintax, spelling, ortotypography, format, etc.).
5th - Validation: an exclusive power of the Project Manager, who must approve the final version of the translation, verify its compliance with the agreed terms and conditions and authorise its delivery to the Client.
6th - Delivery: Exhibit's Translation Products are always delivered through electronic means in various formats according to the specific service or conditions agreed in the Quotation accepted by the Client. Besides, a hard copy of sworn translations duly signed and sealed by a Sworn Translator is made available to the Client. Sworn translations exceeding 25 pages are bound together so as to preserve their integrity.
