Interpretation Services are those requiring the oral language mediation of one or more interpreters during events where participants cannot or would rather not deliver their speeches or exchange views or information in a single common language.
Within the scope of its fields of expertise and working languages, Exhibit arranges and provides Consecutive Interpretation Services performed by highly-qualified and experienced professional interpreters selected on a case-by-case basis to ensure maximum competence and reliability.
Due to the oral nature and immediacy of such service, an interpreter's language skills and professional techniques are substantially different from those of a translator since the latter has to handle and produce written materials and his work allows him to carry out documentation, lexical research, revision, correction and consultation tasks within the timeline of any given project, whereas the interpreter must prepare and study all relevant reference and terminology materials prior to the effective provision of the service and his revision, correction or consultation chances are strongly limited during the interpretation session.
The expertise required and the intrinsic complexity of the arrangement and actual provision of Interpretation Services in the legal and financial fields makes Client co-operation decisive, particularly regarding the programming of the Service with reasonable prior notice and the availability in due time of full documentation and information concerning the subject matter, circumstances, objectives and participants in the event for which an interpretation service is requested.
Accordingly, Exhibit may turn down any Interpretation Proposal whose initial terms would not meet the basic professional criteria required for ensuring the sound and effective provision of such service.
Consecutive Interpretation is the variety of interpretation techniques that best adapts to the types of activities conducted by our Clients and to our fields of expertise. Furthermore, it is particularly appropriate in the cases below, with the proviso that only two working languages must be used. The usage of three or more language would immediately require a simultaneous interpretation service:
